At Iowa State University, Preethika is a junior majoring in biomedical engineering and minoring in sociology. They are an aspiring medical student who is passionate about interdisciplinary healthcare and medical research. Preethika is currently a volunteer in the Cyndari Lab, where they use the BX63 light microscope to take high-resolution tissue images and help with immunofluorescence (IF) staining. Their work develops their knowledge of lab procedures, data analysis, and statistical testing while assisting ongoing biomedical investigations. Preethika is excited to continue investigating the role of biomedical science in enhancing patient quality of life because they have a strong passion for bridging engineering, research, and clinical care!
